Next Meeting on Sept. 27

Our next meeting will be on Sept. 27 at 5 at Southglenn....

Notices:

The date has been changed to Sat, Dec. 3 from 1-4pm.

From now on, if you are in Link Crew and this is your community service project for the year, we will start taking pictures and attendance to document all the work we put in!!!

If you guys could please post what day of the week and a time that is best for these meetings, that would be great. I know that we can't accommodate everyone's schedules, but we will try our best!

Sept 19th Meeting

September 19, 2007 Meeting

-Shirts:

-20 NHS

-long sleeved, red, white lettering

-100 shirts LINK Crew (about 18 for us)

-5XL 15L 30M 50S

-Monday=Emily, Lily, Joe go order shirts

-prices, stuff

-Booth is designing the letterhead

-S-9 2:30 Tomorrow for Flu Meeting with Abner

-how many shirts? Shirt sizes, Joe’s taken care of it

-Media=Jeff N. do all that stuff

-nurses, M.D.s, physicians=Joe

-Mel is doing what?

-Change to Nov. 17th , Sat afternoon from 1-4

-do it in cafeteria

-get it by October 10th

-about 2000 flyers, Parker will take care of it

-on our own, for businesses (100)

T-Shirt Sizes!!!

If you guys could post what t-shirt size you would like, that would be amazing!!! Thank you!!!

Timeline

This is basically what we are planning on doing....

Timeline!

-the week of Mon. Sept 3=Shelby-in charge of educational meetings

-Sept 4=start formal letterhead

-Sept 4=choose venue and layout, contact administration about gym

-Sept 7=shirts

-Sept 8th=place order for brochures

-Sept 10th=Emily L., Lily, Joe will go put in t-shirt order at the trophy shop near Mission Trujillo

-September 17=request StudCo for $$

-contact the community’s parents, letterheads for AHS, elementary schools, in our gym, Sandburg and Twain, principals

-Sept 24=Joe, Brooks, Mellie contacting the nurses

-September 29=order handouts

-October 1=volunteer letterhead, notice for:

-NHS, WWW, Link Crew, Student Council

-October 8=contact media (ANYTHING!!!)

-October 13=Fricken’ Food Committee=provide food, snacks?, creative snacks!, posters

-October 15, 29=post brochures at Starbucks, businesses around

-October 20=build games, posters, signs for all the booths

-November 3=Date for our Carnival!!!

Sept 6th Meeting

September 6, 2007 the day after my BIRTHDAY!!!!!

-no letterhead yet…still need to talk to Booth!

-we socialized today…a LOT

-Shelby and Brooks met with Sandburg principal, need to put letterheads in their mailboxes for their Friday take home papers (500)

-Brooks left us! Joe was in charge, and then…we waited for him to come back

-t-shirt design=Ashley will come up with it and email it

-making flyers to post around local businesses

-contact with the media

-Jeff is in charge, has connections with Centennial and Denver papers

-news stations

-talk to nurses/doctors by Sept. 17th

-Flyers=Dan, Lily will take care of it

-Shelby, Lily will call/email/check up on free pamphlets, flyers, etc.

-Melanie said she would talk about getting musicians!

-Guys: Why don’t we make up a song about abc-ing the flu? (Avoid. Beat. Contain.) Or is there one already?

Kudos for Shelby today for volunteering (sort of) to check websites!!!

And welcome new people who came…Emily Logan and Jeff Nadel!

Next meeting is September 13, 2007, 4:30 at Brooks’ House unless we have a major change (which I doubt)

Next Meeting!

Our next meeting for the ABC's of the Flu (also known as the Flu Meetings, which I have to think about) is Thursday, September 6th at 4:30 at Brooks' House. Hope you all can make it!
