Sept. 27th Meeting

September 27, 2007

-Money because sponsored by Target hopefully (Morgan’s doing it)

-gets huge writeoff, gave a lot of $ to wish week, local community project, hopefully give us a good chunk of money

-Final Day = Dec. 1^st

-wrestling match the same day, but we should do it during the match

-Vaccinations, person in contact with the Lady, calling her

-make sure she knows the date, brochures to pick up and stuff

-Ashley M., nurse from Front Range, give her a call and stuff

-talk about brochures, ask her about THINGS

-come and go thing from 1:00-4:00

-Shamita and Mels

-a bunch of different stations where kids go around

-parents can go to parents only stations

-some are: -singing songs (website)

-stay well cards/poster-making

-AIDS activity

-Black light activity (zoology, can we order the stuff?)

-video (from library, good habits, school prevention/health, a worksheet, Littleton Hospital video, youtube video

-“Happy Birthday” “ABC’s” hand washing

-Flu Powder info.

-remedy at food station

-Make your own soap “Soaper Heroes!”

-handouts for parents

-Dr. Angie and Tom

-all elementary school kids

-stations good for younger kids

-stickers and handouts: ABC’s of Good Health Habits

-Be a germ buster! Pencils

-potentially 1300 kids, somewhere between 200-500?

-Mels’ doctor might come, another doctor can must work a booth

-Tom=a good public speaker

-get a North classroom with parents talking to Tom there or both at a table

-table in the cafeteria for flu shots

-Mels and Shamita meet with StudCo for budgetwise

-start building?=At least 2 weeks before, mid November, Nov. 10

-start designating 2 students to each station

-early Oct. for ordering supplies (Oct. 13^th )

-bring friends next week

-next week Thursday at 5

-germ plushies $7

-if you get a flu shot, then you will be entered in a drawing

-make a list of everything we need, finalize every game, create a signup sheet

-need a lot more people, depends on how many people we have

-need people to mingle w/kids and parents

-work on ordering with StudCo

-for the stations, would people have a problem dressing up? T-shirts

-would Target design shirts for us? Put their logo on the back….Morgan will talk to them!

-Lily and Morgan talking about money, design shirts and logo on the back..

-even a discount or put Target sign in the caf

-would be willing to donate some $$ we’d be happy to advertise for you

-Franklin put a copy in the newsletter, cool with making 900 copies

-Sandburg, Twain, Franklin=in Friday folders

-Jerry Price with Highland Elementary

-put letters/flyers at doctors office? Booth will address from him

-for Parker, just need to print off flyers=100-200

-Mels wants a copy of the official letterhead to all her connections!!!!

-Morgan works at Target, Ashley L.’s aunt is principal at Franklin, Ash works at the library

-if we need a ton of copies, maybe Kinko’s, local copy shops, Parker’s on that
